Benjamin Kaiser serves as a Partner at Van Meter, Ashbrook & Associates. At the firm, he is responsible for maintaining project workflow, and direct advocacy on behalf of clients at the executive and legislative branches.

Ben previously served as Governor John Kasich's Deputy Legislative Director where he coordinated the activities of 20 legislative liaisons from multiple agencies including the departments of development, commerce, insurance, taxation, administrative services and transportation. He was intimately involved in the successful passage and enactment of the Governor's landmark legislation creating the new private economic development corporation JobsOhio as well as the governor's first budget, which eliminated an $8 billion deficit. He also helped enact the governor's first transportation budget, which included authorization of PPPs. Prior to working in the governor's office, Mr. Kaiser served as the statewide Field Director for Governor Kasich's successful election in 2010. Beginning in July of 2015, Mr. Kaiser served as the National Deputy Political Director for Kasich For America where he was responsible for all ballot access in the 50 states and territories.  He also organized grassroots infrastructure in New Hampshire and directed the campaign in Michigan.

Mr. Kaiser's involvement in government and politics began in high school when he was selected to be a United State House of Representatives Page under the sponsorship of former Representative Dave Hobson. From 2005 to 2010 he worked for VAA as the firm's legislative director. Ben graduated from The Ohio State University Fisher School of Business with a BSBA in Finance.

Ben serves on the Franklin Park Conservatory Board of Trustees and previously served as the Operations Director for Governor DeWine’s Inaugural Committee.
